LOWER SHOSHONE – Flows are around 950 cfs and the river is still a little off color but fishable now the reservoir has cleared up. Look for heads up on caddis, blue winged olives and midges. Fish the edges with a hopper/dropper or streamers or run a nymph rig through the deeper runs.

BIG HORN / WIND – Flows are around 1000 cfs. The moss is annoying getting better. Look for heads up on tricos in the mornings. Nymph or throw a hopper with a perdigon, sow bug, crawdad or worm dropper. Streamers are also picking up a few

NORTH FORK – The fishing has been pretty good as there’s a mix of the smaller and larger trout still in the system. While there’s still some trout in the skinnier, faster water, especially in the afternoons, the deeper holes have been quite stacked with fish. Hoppers, terrestrials, attractors, caddis, grey drakes and smaller beadheads and stoneflies are working.

SOUTH FORK – Fishing well, especially up in the Valley section. The dry fly fishing has been decent on caddis, hoppers and smaller terrestrials and attractors. Beadhead droppers will pick up fish when the trout aren’t rising. Streamer fishing has been good as well.

CLARK’S FORK – The river is low and clear all the way down into Montana. Caddis, grey drakes and blue winged olives as well as hopper, terrestrial and attractor dry fly fishing has been good. Nymphing or running a streamer through the deeper runs is always a good idea.

GREYBULL / WOOD – Both are fishing well with caddis, small hoppers, ants, beetles and attractors.

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK – Still some time to throw flying ants and hoppers but look for baetis to be out on cloudy days. Swinging soft hackles and streamers are also great options this time of year.

NEWTON LAKES – East Newton is still fuller than normal but the water level has dropped dramatically and fishing has been pretty good. Midges, callibaetis, scuds, leeches, terrestrials and minnow pattern streamers.

LUCE / HOGAN RESERVOIRS – Luce is very low but fishing well. Midges, callibaetis, scuds, leeches, and terrestrials.
