LOWER SHOSHONE – Flows are 1300 cfs and the river is off color but fishable. Caddis and blue winged olives on top. Size 12-16 beadhead nymphs or streamers on the edges.
BIG HORN / WIND – Flows are 2200 cfs and fishing has been good! Baetis nymphs and sowbugs under a bobber has been the go to rig. Also starting to see some action on crawdads and the streamer fishing has been decent as well.
NORTH FORK – Closed to fishing downstream of Newton Creek until July 1st! Water clarity and flows have been fluctuating with the warmer weather. Big stonefly nymphs, attractor nymphs, soft hackles, eggs and streamers on heavy tippet.
SOUTH FORK – Water clarity and flows have been fluctuating with the warmer weather. Tossing a dry/dropper or nymphing with a stonefly or attractor nymphs has been the ticket. Streamers have also been catching some good fish.
CLARK’S FORK – Water clarity and flows have been fluctuating with the warmer weather. Stonefly & soft hackle nymphs as well as streamers.
GREYBULL / WOOD – Water clarity and flows have been fluctuating with the warmer weather. Stonefly & soft hackle nymphs as well as streamers.
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK – Opening day is this Saturday, May 28th! With both water and weather conditions looking ideal, there should be good hatches of baetis and PMD’s on the Firehole, Gibbon and Madison.
NEWTON LAKES – Chironomids, callibaetis, damsels, scuds and leeches.
LUCE / HOGAN RESERVOIRS – Chironomids, callibaetis, damsels, scuds, leeches, ants and beetles.
