LOWER SHOSHONE – It’s a little skinny with flows right around 260 cfs but fishing has been good. Floating and wading have both been productive, especially in the afternoon with the trout looking up for baetis and midges. Nymph with zebra midges, baetis nymphs, sow bugs, worms, leeches and winter stoneflies. Tossing streamers like thin mints, jawbreakers and sparkle minnows are picking up fish as well.

BIG HORN / WIND – Flows are 600 cfs. Lots of boats but fishing remains good. Hatches are baetis and midges. Nymph with midges, baetis nymphs, sow bugs and worms. Streamers have been producing some big trout as well.

NORTH FORK – Go heavy with your tippet 0X-2X and nymph big stoneflies like rubber legs, 20 inchers, yuk bugs and halfbacks. Bloody Mary’s, Copper John’s, bigger pheasant tail, prince nymphs, soft hackles as well as worms and eggs will work. If you’re more into stripping or swinging streamers, those can both be a great way to hook into some of the early runners. Should have more and more fish in the system everyday until the closure below Newton Creek on April 1st!

SOUTH FORK – Fishing in the Valley section has been good. Nymphing with Skwala and stonefly nymphs like rubber legs and 20 inchers as well as smaller beadheads like possie buggers, hare’s ears, perdigons, baetis nymphs and midges have been the most productive but streamers have been working as well.

CLARK’S FORK – Low and clear. Few fish up on midges and baetis in the afternoons but nymphing stonefly and beadhead attractor nymphs deep will be your best bet. Always worth pulling a few streamers through some of the deeper holes as well.

GREYBULL / WOOD – Might have a few fish up on baetis and midges during the heat of the day but nymphing stoneflies and beadhead attractor nymphs will be more productive.

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK – Closed to fishing until Memorial Day Weekend 2021! Yellowstone licenses are now available online at Recreation.gov…although prices have gone up quite a bit!

NEWTON LAKES – Both lakes are open. Scuds, midges and leeches.

LUCE / HOGAN RESERVOIRS – Both lakes are open. Scuds, midges, and leeches.
