LOWER SHOSHONE – A little off color below Sage Creek but looking good through town. Look for trout up on baetis and midges during the heat of the day. Nymph sow bugs, perdigons, baetis and midges. Stripping streamers is also productive.

BIG HORN / WIND – Nymphing has been the most productive method. Perdigons, sow bugs, Ray Charles, baetis and midges. Streamer fishing hasn’t been on fire but it has been consistent.

NORTH FORK – The river blew out below Big Creek on 3/24 as the high winds melted some of the lower elevation snow. With the warmer temps forecasted this week, it could stay off color until the cool down this weekend. Mornings will most likely have the best clarity. Nymph the slower, deeper runs with stoneflies like rubber legs, 20 Inchers, Mega Princes, Yuk Bugs and TJ Hookers with a smaller nymph behind it like a Bloody Mary, Copper John, Prince nymph, pheasant tail or egg pattern. Go heavy on your tippet (0x-2x)!

SOUTH FORK – The Valley section has been fishing pretty well with general bead head attractor nymph rigs and streamers.

CLARK’S FORK – Off color down by Edelweiss and the state line. There’s clearer water below the canyon mouth above Paint and Pat O’Hara Creeks. Stoneflies and streamers.

GREYBULL / WOOD – Starting to see more open water.

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK – Closed to fishing until Memorial Day weekend 2025!

NEWTON LAKES – Toss buggers and leeches on the edges to the cruisers. Chironomids, scuds and balanced leeches under a bobber.

LUCE/HOGAN RESERVOIRS – Toss buggers and leeches on the edges to the cruisers. Chironomids, scuds and balanced leeches under a bobber.
