LOWER SHOSHONE – Flows are around 4500 cfs and the water is dirty.

BIG HORN / WIND – Flows are around 1800 cfs and the moss is already quite bad. Hopper/dropper rigs on the edges are picking up fish above and below the surface, or nymph the seams with sow bugs, Yellow Sally nymphs, perdigons, crawdads and worms.

NORTH FORK – The river is closed to fishing below Newton Creek until July 1st! Flows have dropped considerably over the last few days and there will be a short couple day window to fish during this cold spell. The upper river, especially Middle Fork, are fishable. Nymph the slower, deeper runs with big stoneflies and jig soft hackles.

SOUTH FORK – Flows have dropped considerably over the last few days and there will be a short couple day window to fish during this cold spell. Nymph the slower, deeper runs with big stoneflies and jig soft hackles.

CLARK’S FORK – Flows have dropped considerably over the last few days and there will be a short couple day window to fish during this cold spell. Nymph the slower, deeper runs with big stoneflies and jig soft hackles or fish hopper/dropper on the banks as the salmon flies are migrating to the edges.

GREYBULL / WOOD – Nymph the slower, deeper runs with attractor beadheads and jig soft hackles.

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK – The west side rivers (Firehole, Gibbon Madison) have been fishing well. Look for fish up on caddis, PMDs and salmon flies. Swinging soft hackles or buggers is also a very effective method. Yellowstone Lake has been fishing well with callibaetis, chironomids and leeches.

NEWTON LAKES – Damsels, chironomids, callibaetis, scuds, leeches, flying ants and beetles.
