LOWER SHOSHONE – Flows are around 4500 cfs and the water is dirty.
BIG HORN / WIND – Flows are around 1800 cfs and the moss is already quite bad. Hopper/dropper rigs on the edges are picking up fish above and below the surface, or nymph the seams with sow bugs, Yellow Sally nymphs, perdigons, crawdads and worms.
NORTH FORK – The river is closed to fishing below Newton Creek until July 1st! High and dirty. Flows are stepping down on all our area freestones and should be coming into shape soon.
SOUTH FORK – High and dirty.
CLARK’S FORK – High and dirty.
GREYBULL / WOOD – High and dirty.
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK – The west side rivers (Firehole, Gibbon Madison) have been fishing well. Look for fish up on caddis, PMDs and salmon flies. Swinging soft hackles or buggers is also a very effective method. Yellowstone Lake has been fishing well with callibaetis, chironomids and leeches.
NEWTON LAKES – Damsels, chironomids, callibaetis, scuds and leeches.
LUCE/HOGAN RESERVOIRS -Damsels, chironomids, callibaetis, scuds, leeches and flying ants.
