LOWER SHOSHONE – Flows have been bumped up to around 3500 cfs and the river clarity has declined considerably the last few days. With the higher flows, focus on the edges and slower runs with nymph rigs or streamers.
BIG HORN / WIND – Flows are around 1800 cfs and the moss is already quite bad. Caddis and Yellow Sallies are popping. Dry/dropper rigs on the edges are starting to pick up some fish. Nymph the seams with sow bugs, caddis pupa, perdigons, crawdads and worms.
NORTH FORK – The river is now closed below Newton Creek until July 1st! High and dirty.
SOUTH FORK – High and dirty.
CLARK’S FORK – High and dirty.
GREYBULL / WOOD – High and dirty.
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK – The west side (Firehole, Gibbon Madison) have been fishing well. Look for fish up on PMDs, caddis and salmon flies. Swinging soft hackles or buggers is also a very effective method. Yellowstone Lake has also been fishing well with chironomids, leeches and streamers.
NEWTON LAKES – Damsels, chironomids, callibaetis, scuds and leeches.
LUCE/HOGAN RESERVOIRS -Damsels, chironomids, callibaetis, scuds, leeches and flying ants.
