LOWER SHOSHONE – Flows are 1300 cfs and fishing has been prety good. Hoppers, yellow sallies, caddis, tricos, leeches and dark streamers!
BIG HORN / WIND – Flows are 1400 and fishing has been really good! Yellow sallies, tricos, hoppers, worms, leeches, crawdads, crane flies and streamers.
NORTH FORK – Trout are starting to look up more for hoppers, chubbies and caddis! Rubber legs, yuk bugs, mega princes, twenty inchers, golden stones, and half backs have been producing down by the reservoir. Lots of beadhead nymph droppers like Duracells, two bit stones, possie buggers, prince nymphs and worms are working as well. If you’re stripping streamers try jawbreakers, thin mints, rusty trombones, goldies and swim coaches.
SOUTH FORK – Fishing well. Hoppers, chubbies and caddis on top. Drop rubber legs, twenty inchers, duracell jigs, jiggable caddis, and iron sallies. Stripping leeches, jawbreakers, thin mints, Platte river spiders, Swim Coaches, and sparkle minnows has been good as well.
CLARK’S FORK – Stoneflies, caddis, and hoppers on top. Drop stonefly nymphs like rubber legs, twenty inchers, mega princes and crane fly larva. Beadhead nymphs in sizes 12-16 are working as well. Don’t forget your streamers!
GREYBULL / WOOD – Small chubbies, water walkers, hoppers, ants, beetles, hippie stompers, caddis, yellow sallies, parachute adams, stimulators, as well as other attractors. Smaller stonefly and mayfly nymphs plus general beadheads if you’re fishing subsurface.
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK – Cutthroat are looking up for pmd’s, green drakes, golden stones and caddis. Yellowstone Lake has been fishing great as well with callibaetis, caddis, leeches and streamers. Slough and Soda Butte Creeks, as well as the Lamar River have hatches of PMD’s, caddis, golden stones and grey drakes.
NEWTON LAKES – Both lakes are incredibly full. Midges, scuds, damsels and leeches.
LUCE / HOGAN RESERVOIRS – Scuds, damsels, leeches, midges, hoppers, ants, and beetles.
