LOWER SHOSHONE – Flows are going up to 3000 cfs and water quality has suffered quite a bit. The best water quality is in the canyon directly below the dam. Caddis, yellow sallies, lightning bugs, sow bugs, leeches and streamers.
BIG HORN / WIND – Flows are going up to 3200 cfs for a brief flushing flow the 5th-6th. Hopefully this will help eradicate the floating moss/debris that has plagued anglers the past few weeks. Caddis, baetis, yellow sallies, sow bugs, scuds, Ray Charles, worms, leeches, crawdads, crane flies and streamers.
NORTH FORK – Closed downstream of Newton Creek until July 1st! Blown out.
SOUTH FORK – Blown out.
CLARK’S FORK – Blown out.
GREYBULL / WOOD – Blown out.
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK – The Firehole will be your best bet. Baetis, pmd’s, caddis, leeches, buggers and of course soft hackles! Leeches and streamers on Yellowstone Lake.
NEWTON LAKES – Both lakes are incredibly full. Midges, scuds, callibaetis, damsels and leeches.
LUCE/HOGAN RESERVOIRS – Scuds, callibaetis, damsels, leeches, midges, ants, and beetles.
