LOWER SHOSHONE – Clear and fishing well. Look for trout up on baetis and midges during the heat of the day. Nymph sow bugs, perdigons, baetis and midges. Stripping streamers is also productive.

BIG HORN / WIND – Nymphing has been the most productive method. Perdigons, sow bugs, Ray Charles, baetis and midges. Streamer fishing hasn’t been on fire but it has been consistent.

NORTH FORK – The river is now closed below Newton Creek until July 1st! Should start to see a good number of trout above the closure in the next week or two. Look for Skwalas and March Browns hatching. Nymph the slower, deeper runs with stoneflies like rubber legs, 20 Inchers, Mega Princes, Yuk Bugs and TJ Hookers with a smaller nymph behind it like a Bloody Mary, Copper John, Prince nymph, pheasant tail or egg pattern. Go heavy on your tippet (0x-2x)!

SOUTH FORK – The Valley section has been fishing pretty well. Skawalas are popping. Toss a size 10-12 stonefly nymph under a chubby!

CLARK’S FORK – Pretty decent clarity all the way down to the state line. Look for Skwalas and March Browns hatching. Stoneflies and streamers.

GREYBULL / WOOD – Open and fishing with stonefly and general beadhead attractor nymphs.

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK – Closed to fishing until Memorial Day weekend 2025!

NEWTON LAKES – Toss buggers and leeches on the edges to the cruisers. Chironomids, scuds and balanced leeches under a bobber.

LUCE/HOGAN RESERVOIRS – Toss buggers and leeches on the edges to the cruisers. Chironomids, scuds and balanced leeches under a bobber.
