LOWER SHOSHONE – Look for trout up on baetis and midges during the heat of the day. Nymph sow bugs, perdigons, baetis and midges. Stripping streamers is also productive during the winter months.
BIG HORN / WIND – Nymph the deeper, slower water with sow bugs, Ray Charles, scuds and midges. Streamer fishing can be hit or miss in the winter but is also worth a shot.
NORTH FORK – Done until ice out of Spring 2025!
SOUTH FORK – The Valley section is fishable most of the winter, except during the coldest of spells. General bead head attractor nymph rigs and streamers.
CLARK’S FORK – May find some open water down by the hatchery. Deep stonefly nymph rigs will be your best bet.
GREYBULL / WOOD – Frozen.
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK – Closed to fishing until Memorial Day weekend 2025!
NEWTON LAKES – Frozen.
LUCE/HOGAN RESERVOIRS – Frozen.
